Greetings, thought I’d address a problem everyone using a sd card will experience. That is, the problems associated with full data storage. The printer is storing data on the card as it prints. If the camera is set to on, periodic pictures are stored on the card. When there’s no more storage room, the printer stops without alarm. Frustrating, huh? The way to tell if this has happened is to go to the home screen>setting>sd card. The contained info may show a full card, requiring some card storage maintenance. Select to eject the card. Make sure you’re ejecting the card in this method whenever the printer is turned on or problems could result. Removing the card while the printer is off is problem free. Plug it into your computer and bring up the file manager. Deleting printer created files is the task. Hopefully, your slicer procedures have stored the g-code model files as a backup to the g-code model files on the sd card. G-code takes up very little card space while the printer creates a tremendous amount of card space in need of removal. Once the card has been “cleaned”, use proper ejection method and insert it back into the printer. I can only speculate as to whether the printer will begin printing where it stopped if commanded. Hopefully, it will. In the future, when copying g-code to the card, an eye will be focused as to the time to “clean” the card. I you are like me and donxt want the printer to create these files, there’s a control for that. From home screen> settings>camera options> turn the listed settings to off. The full card problem should go away … as will your ability to remotely view the print.
So in review, the printer creates files which will cause un-errored stoppage. The card requires “cleaning”, especially if remote view is used. Turning off the camera and or video option virtually eliminates the need for further “cleaning”. Seems most, if not all, camera-enabled printer models & brands use the sd card as storage, creating this problem.
