i now have 400 hours on the machine, and yesterday it started making weird sounds…
i first couldnt find the issue because it still was running, but today i checked without power and moved the printhead…
i was able to find the cause , the problem only shows up when moving the print head diagonal, when moving left or right it also sound a lil bit harsh,
when moving it back and forth it sounds smooth - i think thats how it should sound LOL
anyways heres a video, anybody has a tipp for me?
im a lil bit scared to take appart the toolhead , its pretty complex ,
im now waiting on the ticket reply vom bambu…

If it had wiggle, you wouldnt be able to hear the bearings because it would be loose. Its hard to tell where the sound is coming from, but based on the frequency of the noise, it sounds like alot of tiny bearings. My brain goes to linear rail bearings binding against the rail. Probably wrong. Sorry to go slightly off topic, but idex printers have one belt connection on the rear of the toolhead and one on the front. So, it twists the toolhead on the rail. When you overtighten the belts, the bearings press into the rail really hard and it sounds exactly like this. Not saying this is an idex printer, just explaining my thought process
I suppose that are the balls in the linear carriage of the rail. If the movment is linear and the prints on the X axis are good, then dont warrie it’s only a noise. In other case may necessary to check the linear rail balls that may be damaged. Enrico
