To answer your question, the first stop I would visit is the wiki page on repairing the rods. This is chock full of video links and suggestions.
However, that is an alarming amount of wear. It suggests an alignment problem, either with the carbon rods or the housing itself. I’ve experienced issues with my toolhead cover on my P1 that eventually led me to remove most of the screws to eliminate stress on the housing, which was causing false “cover fell off” error messages—but nothing like what you’re seeing.
I can no longer find it on the web, but there is a alignment tool/procedure that someone came up with that ensures that the rods are square and plumb. The bookmark I had for it has been removed so it may be somewhere else on the web. It was an elaborate set of acrylic squares one could purchase online and then use to square off the rod alignment. Perhaps someone here remembers this, it was posted sometime in late 2023/2024. I would look at diagnosing the alignment before considering a replacement.
