Hello! I’ve been making these models that require color switches, and since I have no AMS with my Bambulab P1S, I’ve been doing the method of pausing the print on the layer where it’s supposed to change color, then resuming after switching filament manually myself.
Is there anyway to remove this little wipe/zit (no idea what to call it) when manually changing filament colors? This has happened with similar models I’ve made. I’ve tried using the prime tower by just adding a color and coloring in a part of the model to trick it into making a prime tower, as well as enabling smooth timelapse since that also requires a prime tower, but to no avail.
As seen in the video above, for some reason it just continues to print onto the model itself after unpausing the print even though I’m pretty sure it’s supposed to unload onto the prime tower to clean the nozzle. The only solution I have found is to just print a duplicate of the object and one of them will turn out fine while the other has that little zit/wipe at the bottom. It’s a fine solution but I would prefer to not waste too much filament as well as waste extra time if I could lol
I go from black matte ELEGOO PLA matte to white Matte Bambulab PLA, and am printing with 0.08mm layer height. Only settings that are changed from default are Ironing type set to “Top surfaces” and Seam position set to “Back”.
I’ll also upload the 3mf file so it’s easier to have a closer look:
