Top Layer Issues

Try changing the top surface to concentric or Archimedean chords, whichever one makes the best lines.

That, in combination with variable layer height will be ideal.

I think you might need to dry and/or calibrate the filament as well. The first bad part looks very blobby.

So I printed 3 more parts and the last one looks pretty good to me. I
looked at the Wiki on Smoothing. Changed the settings for Adaption to 0.08
and Smooth to 10.

I am having the same issue with PLA Basic Silver for gradual slope. It looks exactly the same as the scraper in the first picture. I changed the infill from 10% to 15% and problem solved. Sometimes I need a higher infill to have smooth finish on gradual slope.

Fixing hardware issues by fiddling with the settings is not addressing the issue.

I’ve been using my P1S for several months and all my prints have been incredible right out of the box. No setting changes at all.

All of a sudden, I’m getting this issue.
One day all’s fine, the next day and the top layer of a flat surface of every print is rough in the corners.

I don’t want to start fixing things by fiddling with the settings when the default settings have worked so well up until now.
There’s a hardware issue that needs to be identified.

Having the exact same issue. Have you found a solution?

You can find many of those across the forum. But they are not easy to find.
