Top Object changing layers underneath

Hello, in my example I place a cube on top of a object in Bambu Studio. The object is 2.2mm in height and I offset the cube by exactly the same height in Z so it sits perfectly on top of the object. I can see in the preview that it changes the way the object on the bottom is printing. I do not want this to happen, is there a known workaroud?

This image shows the last layer of the 2mm object before the cube is starting to be printed. The influence of the cube that is not intesecting the object is reaching 5 layers down at 0.2mm layer height.

This is normal behaviour for the slicer. The top block removes the requirement of the solid top surface in that area of the lower part. What you’re seeing is the infill which is generated.

Can you explain the reason why you need the top surface of the lower part in this area? You should be able to use a modifier to generate it.

Thank you for your answer. I just got a H2D and it keeps unloading the filament after the print is finished. Of cause if I reprint while iterating small model designs it then has to reload and purge the same filament. As there is no option from bambu lab at the moment to not do this I am looking for a easy workaround, and this might be the ticket.

I would not let the printer print the cube, I would in the preview window go on the first layer of the cube by right clicking in the right side where you can scroll thru the layers, and set a print pause.

The printer would finish the print and pause without unloading automatically.

User Caelin just pointed me to a change in the gcode that gives the same result much easier. Case solved for me.

Or print from an external spool? This filament isn’t unloaded.

Thats also a good suggestion!
