Top Surface Quality - Advanced top surface guide

In my quest to get rid of the gaps in my top layers, I found a cool Top Surface calibration thing on makerworld. My top surfaces are better because of it. I figured some may even learn a thing or two about setting up your own test pieces. This doesn’t necessarily fix the gap issue, but does give better top surfaces.

If you are talking about ironing personaly it is vary hard to perfect I have messed around with it for my product and have good settings but from what I’ve seen it is sort of different for each model

No, that guide was basically tuning top line width, speed, and flow. It was put together pretty good. I was board and wanted something to do, so tuning profiles. I just figured I would share.

Ohh well nice was it for the h2d? And you have no ironing?

They do have an H2 series. I didn’t make it. Just saw a lot of people complaining about top surface quality and figured I would share. The designer did put it together well and for so many people new to 3d printers, it would be a good example of how to change object only settings and understand how you can make your own test pieces.

They do have a little thing towards the end with ironing, but I don’t do ironing. Too slow for functional parts. Lots of other good ironing tests out there for that I would think. I saw uncle Jesse do something a while back.
