Torken nozzle side not showing in AMS with FTS and 2x AMS2 Pro

I just changed the top mounting method of my 2 AMS’s to reduce length of tubes.

Previously all nozzles were identified but the HSC always printed via the right side Torken nozzles. I decided to do a factory reset and have the complete setup and calibration redone. Now its defaulting to the left side or fixed nozzle.

Although the filaments in both AMS’s (and the 2 AMS-HT’s) are recognized by the H2C studio is showing NO AMS connected to the right nozzles.

Did I perhaps misunderstand setup when it asked me to do the calibration WITHOUT the hot ends installed?

If not that, what else?

What you’re probably looking for isn’t done in the slicer, but on the printer - but let’s take it step by step:

Please check first to make sure you’ve connected everything correctly, just as described in the guide. You’ll need to scroll down a bit:

…and then make the assignment to the correct nozzle on the printer itself:

If you’re still having problems: The guide for the Filament Track Switch:

Yes, I figured it was H2C setup somewhere. I have to wait for a longish print to finish before doing anything on the printer. Time to read your links

Weeell,

Its fixed but not. All my AMS’s are seen and the filaments documented. With the FTS the H2C instructions say no need to associate a particular AMS to a specific head. All seemed good but I started getting errors about the aux feed being unable to feed the head or overloading.

The instruction was to pull back filament and snip the end off - this worked but every time a new print started even with same filament - the same problem.

Eventually I figured that the filament was being sent to the wrong print head, apparently not expecting filament it refused. By that I mean printer or slice had selected print head A or B - shown by the light, but filament is being sent to the other print head.

Something is wrong with my FTS perhaps?

I’ll be reporting this problem to BL.

On your printer, do a manual setup of the FTS and bind each AMS to the FTS input it’s connected to.

OK - I’ll try to do that. However, in my defense the H2C instructions with FTS (not H2D) specific lily said not required since that is the function of the FTS. :upside_down_face:

I think I got it.

I didn’t understand how to do manual until I realized I had to align the filament tubes into the FTS the way they showed. not expect to confirm how I had them installed. The first print selection worked - hopefully its all good now. Thanks for sticking with me.
