We have a few TPU assist modules. In our most recent one, we damaged the 4pin to 6pin Adapter. We asked to purchase a replacement and were disappointed by the answer:
Dear Customer,
Thanks for your update.
We are very sorry, but we indeed cannot send this accessory individually. If you need it, you will have to purchase another TPU Feed Assist Module.
I couldn’t find the adapter itself; it seems to be a custom-made connector. The demand for 4-to-6-pin adapters is likely to be extremely low. However…
Are you able to open the adapter somehow? Those should just be standard Molex pins that you can easily swap out, actually. No guarantees, though… or is the entire adapter broken?
The cheapest option would probably be to buy a 4-pin Bambu Bus cable on AliExpress, cut off one end, and attach a 6 pin Molex connector to that end. That’ll cost you about 10 dollars. Then you’ll have a whole cable that looks neat without any adapters.
May not be very ethical, but buy the new package, swap your bad one for the new one, and return the package for refund as defective. Sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do…
After he’s already contacted support and explained that his adapter is defective - meaning it should already be noted in the system - might not be the best idea. It could complicate things unnecessarily - and that’s still a very mild and neutral way of expressing it.
