Just received the TPU feed assist module a few days ago and I don’t understand how or better where to connect the module to a P2S printer.
I have a standalone P2S printer with no AMS or AMS HT and therefore no filament buffer. From the photos and the explanation both in the bambu shop listing for the feed assist module and the wiki page it seems the 4 pin cable needs to connect to a 4 to 6 pin converter that in turn connects to what seems to be a filament buffer. Is the buffer required though not being stated in any of these sources, do I have to remove any of the back panels where the filament buffer would connect to find a suitable plug or is this simply a misleading omission by bambu lab?
I don’t have a P2S but the feed assist module does not have any data coming in/coming out, the cable is just for power so you can plug it to any available socket on your printer it does not matter.
If you have a 4-pin socket available, connect it to it, if it is a 6-pin socket use the 6-to-4 pin adapter provided to connect.
There must be the one to connect the buffer if you had one. As you don’t that socket is available
Edit: just checked a P2S picture and the buffer is connected differently to other printer, sorry. Do you have a buffer installed or it only comes with the AMS? If you do have a buffer, just connect the feed assist to it
To install a buffer you need to remove a rear panel and the socket is a flat cable and not a 4 or 6 pin socket. Again, there is no visible external socket.
Or if you’re handy with soldering and modifying you can try to tweak the connections to make this board work. The buffer is connected to what apperas to be a 15pin JST-GH connector from the printer and this board has a 12 pin but as you only need 24v and ground, that shouldn’t be too hard.
After a long and repetitive exchange with Bambu Lab’s technical support chat bot it turns out that you need to remove the rear panel, plug into the main control board where there’s a designated 4-pin socket and then pass the cable through a hole in the rear panel and put the whole thing together again. Sadly there’s no description for this particular printer. Thank you all for your suggestions

there is no 4 Pin connector on the P2S main control board
and im here trying to break my head understanding the answer
or am i just really missunderstanding something here?

I haven’t finished setting up the module yet, I printed out the shell and installed the extruder, switches and boards as per instructions and everything went fine but I had to travel and didn’t have the chance to take my printer apart.
There is no nowhere a description on how to connect the module unless you insist, in my case, with bambu lab’s chatbot because it keeps giving you useless answers pointing you back to the assembly instructions of the wiki which lead you nowhere. But in our last exchange it finally admitted you had to take off the back off the printer and connect the 4 pin cable directly to the printers control board, apparently to where you normally would connect your filament buffer, as far as I understood. What the chatbot didn’t give me a clear answer to is to where the cable is supposed to exit the printer but I’ll be back home in Thursday and can relay the final description back to you since I saved it on my laptop.
If in the meantime you solve the mystery please let me know since both the sales pitch and the wiki post for the feed assist module don’t give specific instructions or provide misleading instructions for the P2S even though it’s announced as working on this printer.
please be aware, that there is no 4 pin connector on the main control board, the P2S does not have one, there is no other way besides using the buffer, the chatbot might have started mixing things up with the H2 series or other printers but i can promise you there is no 4 pin connector there
