TPU filament feeder and 85a TPU filament question

Having read the TPU instructions for use with H2C printers, it says you can’t use the PTF tube with 85a filaments

If I was to purchase the TPU filament feeder would this alleviate this and allow you to use the PTF tube with 85a filament

I feed TPU 65A through my PTFE tube without any issues, so I see no reason why it wouldn’t work with this accessory as well.

Over the weekend on my H2C, I successfully printed TPU 85A from a side spool holder through the Feed Assist module, using PTFE tubing with a 4-in-1 adapter mounted on the rear of the machine and a second 4-in-1 adapter mounted on the cable chain inside the printer. This setup allows me to leave the PTFE connected to the buffer rather than disconnecting it for TPU prints.
I can confirm that the arrangement works well, even with the additional flow resistance introduced by the extra tubing and fittings. For reference, I was using a 0.6 mm nozzle on the Induction hot end throughout the testing.

That is actually very interesting, and pretty much what I suspected.

I do not have the TPU Feed Assist module myself, but I have been printing TPU/PEBA down to 65A on both my X1 Carbon and H2D since day one without any real issues. I have also never experienced the kind of defects shown in the marketing material as the reason why TPU Feed Assist is needed.

That said, my setup is a bit different. I use different PTFE tubing rather than Bambu’s original tubing, and I have my AMS HT units placed on top of the printer/printers. With that arrangement, everything has worked flawlessly so far. So with a module that actively helps push the softer TPU into the system, I would honestly expect it to work at least as well as my current setup without TPU Feed Assist.

The only thing I had to do was take down every AMS HT and make sure all the spools rolled very smoothly, because none of them did that properly from the factory for some reason. Once that was fixed, together with the tougher PTFE tubing, the setup has been rock solid.

I am not sure whether the H2C is more sensitive than the H2D in this regard, but I do not really see why it should be. From what I can tell, the H2D and H2C seem quite similar in the way they feed filament to the toolhead.
