I have a roll of Bambu Lab blue glow for a project. I have the X2D with filament track switch and AMS2 Pro. When I load the glow into the AMS it throws multiple warnings that glow will hurt the AMS gearing and to use the external spool. I cut my PTFE tubing and inserted a splitter just for the glow and when I insert the filament manually and ask it to load from the sternal spool it throws an error asking me to remove the filament track switch. So I unplugged the filament track switch and tried to load from the external spool in the touchscreen menu again. It then says No track switch detected, insert filament track switch to continue. So I go back and forth plugging and unplugging trying to follow on screen instructions and it’s just a paradox. It’s asking me to use the external spool and every time I try to load filament from the external spool it asks for the track switch. If I plug in the track switch and I ask to load from the external spool it tells me to remove the track switch.
Just to be clear, are you disconnecting both the PTFEs from the FTS and the cables as well?
I did not unplug any cables, should I have?
Yes. The printer is still seeing the FTS, that’s why it thinks the FTS is still connected.
Unplug your AMS from the FTS, unplug your FTS from the printer, plug your AMS directly into the printer.
Sorry I misunderstood. Yes I unplugged all the cables from the FTS. I rerouted my AMS cable to the rear fan.
This is why it’s a paradox. I unplugged the FTS completely. I pushed the glow filament into the main extruder all the way to the toolhead. When I asked it to load from an external spool it threw an error message to reattach the FTS to continue. The moment I did, it threw the error to remove it.
It’s in the middle of printing right now but that is a good idea. Maybe it won’t let it go until the boot sequence rewrites the map without the FTS being there. I’ll get back to you.

I have printed PLA glow from my AMS2PRO over 4-in-1 ptfe over track switch on my X2D without any problem. Perhaps you should check the length and the form of the PTFE tubes. I only get a warning that the PLA glow can wear out the AMS.
