Have been attempting to utilize the Filament Manager function in BambuStudio, with some infuriating results so far.
Not the least of which being that if I “pre-add” a filament to the inventory, the list of Material Types is severely truncated compared to “Read from AMS”, which allows me to set the full set of “custom” filaments from a given manufacturer.
For example, with a Manual Add, in seems SUNLU doesn’t make anything other than PLA, PLA variants, or basic PETG:
But, because I have created other “Custom” SUNLU filament profiles, when I do “Read from AMS”, as long as I manually select the proper custom filament, it stores it in a different section:
And properly assigns the Material type:
This behavior has led to absolute chaos with trying to figure out which filament is which, duplicate entries in the manager, multiple “SUNLU” manufacturers listed when trying to assign filament type when loading (that aren’t even sorted):
Any help at all here, or do I give up on this entirely?
