Trouble with filament?

Trouble with this rainbow silk filament. Any suggestions?

Hi! @ManiacMolee!

Unfortunately, with the amount of information given, I can only hypothesize that there is a moisture issue. To give a more educated guess, a couple more things would be useful to know:

  1. What filament are you using? More specifically, what brand and how old?
  2. What slicer settings are being used? (Eg. Generic PLA Silk with no modifications or Bambu PLA Generic, 50% speed)
  3. What model are you printing (you can attach a .3mf file here, or a name and software found will do)
  4. What firmware are you using? This can be found in the settings on the printer screen if you scroll down a bit. It might be 1.08.00 or something of the sorts.

Assuming that the issue is moisture, which I cannot say for sure, I would follow the attached tutorial video. I cannot give much insight on filament drying, as I have very little experience with it.

I can only supply a title to a video at the moment: it is “How to Tell If Filament is Wet (And the Best Ways to Dry It!)” by LayerLab on YouTube.

Heya it’s on Bambu studio generic pla silk. I believe the firmware one step back. couldnt upload model.
