Trying direct access to printer video stream

Hi !

I’m currently facing a limitation in using the video stream from my Bambu Lab printer with third-party software, particularly for integration into a VLC mosaic.

Current problem:

  • To access the video stream, I need to open Bambu Studio and click the “Go Live” button.
  • The stream is then accessible via a .sdp file generated by Bambu Studio.
  • This method requires Bambu Studio to be constantly open and active (I know I can close Bambu Studio, but if I restart the computer I’ll have to start all over again)

So, my objective is to be able to directly access the printer’s video stream without having to launch Bambu Studio or click “Go Live”.

Is there a way to access the video stream directly without going through Bambu Studio?

I’d also like to point out that LAN Only mode is NOT activated on my printer, even though I’ve read that this could solve my problem. It seems to me that you can’t use Bambu Studio afterwards.

Thank you in advance for your help
Dorian,

Seriously, no replies on this post? I am using BamBuddy and having trouble getting a live video feed. Developer says that the printer is closing the rtsp stream. We do have LAN Only mode and Developer mode enabled. Is it the firmware that is not allowing this? Has anyone got a live video feed from P2S working into a third party app like BamBuddy? @Dorian_s ?

Didn’t note the date?
