I have this overhang that is supported partially by trees instead of the solid like the rest of it right at the edge where it connects to the rest of the part. Is there a way I can manually turn that part into a solid base as well?
Share the screenshot of your support settings.
Changing the branch distance to 1 mm is the best solution i found so far, but still keeping the supports on that part as trees obviously.
What happens if you swap the style to hybrid?
It uses intelligence to determine when to use traditional vs tree.
You could create a new primitive modifier and change the location and dimensions to wrap the specific area in question and then set the support choices for only that area.
Hybrid doesn’t change anything. Will use 1mm branch distance.
You can actually import your own model and assign it as support right?
Yes.
How? When I set a bix box to be used as a support, it mostly build trees around it. and I did not set on build plate only to true.
I was hoping I could dra my support in cad and then set it to type “support” in the assembly but nope that type does not exist ![]()
