I’ve got just over 500 hours on my X1 Carbon since I got it in early November. One of my first 3 Bambu spools came apart in the AMS from what I assume is due to the roll being poorly wound.
I also received a refill roll from Bambu in a different color and it was too wide to fit a standard Bambu spool. I had to modify a model I found online to make a wider spool.
I stopped buying Bambu filament, but the issues persist, with Overture, CC3D and Sunlu. All manifest as AMS motor overload errors. If I babysit the prints, I can see when the filament overlaps and give the spool a short spin towards the front of the AMS.
The common denominator is the AMS itself. My best guess is that the length of the filament that is loaded/unloaded into the printer by the AMS doesn’t rewind properly when the AMS takes is back for a color change because there is nothing to guide it, it just winds back onto itself.
Anyone else experiencing this issue?
