No clue ahahahaha. This just spawns when I choose Tree Supports instead of Normal. Only thing changed is the automatic settings that take place when you choose HIPS for interface material
I had this happen printing an AMS stand once. There was some sort of internal object that was creating more supports. It completely runined a 12 hour print, loved it! lol. Once I found the objects I was able to delete them in Studio and it was fine.
I can’t say whether this is also the case for you, but this happens when the 3D object is not closed, also known as not “manifold”. In other words, if the object has gaps that are almost invisible, or if the edges do not connect.
Check whether there is a small red warning symbol next to the object name in the slicer, or try to repair the object. Click on the name and select “repair.”
If you have the style of tree supports set to default, it’ll choose which one it thinks it needs. This is the hybrid style where it mixes normal supports and tree supports.
