Unable to create a Thread in Studio using Mac

Hello and my apologies if this is in the incorrect group but not being too technically minded it has been a chore.

Whenever I add a Thread to a cylinder all looks good in the Prepare view but does not appear in the Preview.

I have un-installed and re-installed many times to no avail.

I would appreciate any help with this please if possible.

Thank you

P.S I forgot to mention I’m running Mac o/s 26.5.2

Can someone please at least let me know if this is the correct place to post this type of question?

I am going to try and answer because I see no one else has.

I am assuming for the moment you are referring to the cut tool and adding a threaded connector? I didn’t even know this existed until you asked about it. I played a bit with it (also on a Mac) and at first couldn’t get the connector at all. It showed the threads down in the bottom left of the print plate! But when I clicked on the part that I wanted to add the thread it snapped into place and after preforming the cut everything worked.

I don’t have anything more to suggest because that is the best I figured out on the fly, but I didn’t want you to feel like no one was listening to your question, either. I hope that it it at least a bit of help.

Thank you for replying and for trying it out. You are correct with everything you say and my attempts do exactly the same until the perform cut action, where mine decides to ignore the fact that a connector has been added and just shows the 2 cut parts neither with a thread.

I am just starting on working on creating threads. I am having the same issue with Bambu Studio (2.8.2.61) on a MAC (Tahoe 26.5.2). When you preform the cut it does not create a thread. I see a quick error message that is not their long enough to read.
Can anyone help us?

I found the solution to this issue.

Click on the thread and it will turn blue. When you move your cursor select “Confirm connectors” the thread with turn transparent again. But it does work.
