Note, this is only applying to the Left Nozzle… the right works fine.
This began in the middle of a print , the PTFE connector on the Left Extruder Idler broke and the PTFE tube disconnected… I replaced the Dual Extruder Idlers (ordered new ones) and I still get the following error:
“Unable to feed filament into the Extruder. The AMS may be mismatched with the extruder. You can rerun the AMS setup. This could also be due to an entangled filament or a stuck spool. Please check if the AMS PTFE tube is connected.”
When I hit load on any of the spools in the two AMS 2’s connected to the left nozzle, I see filament feed all the way to the print head and stop right at the PTFE connecttor for the left Extruder… it then retracts and tries again a few more times and returns the above error.
I have replaced the Quick Change Tool Interface, the Dual Extruder Idlers/Filament Sensor and the Filament Buffer… I have also replaced the PTFE tube from the AMS to the splitter, to the Filament buffer and from the filament buffer to the toolhead and swapped the nozzles with new ones… no change in behavior has been seen… I still get the error that it cannot feed filament into the Extruder…
If I manually feed filament into the toolhead (heat up left toolhead, and feed filament directly, and run extruder, I see filament come out of the toolhead… the path seems good… however, I do get an occasional clicking of the Extruder wheel and it does not feed.
I have cleaned the entire filament path
The only thing I can think of is that there is a problem with the cable connecting to the left filament sensor of the Extruder Idler.
I am trying to avoid having to take the entire toolhead apart… but if that is all that is left…
