My brand new a1 cannot change colors, it will always give me the “unable to feed filament into extruder” error. I have been trying to fix it, nothing seems to work. Pterodactyl are fine, everything works, filament isn’t tangled. Keep in mind, this only happens on ports 1 and 2. As of last night though, The filament may be slipping. It won’t feed the filament and makes this awful squeaking sound. Filament is not bambulab, 1.75 mm any cubic pla on ams lite, not sure if that could be the problem, but I still had the problem with bambulab pla too. Printer is only a month old, not sure what to do!
I don’t know if this has changed in the meantime, but the last I heard was that Anycubic spool aren’t really compatible with the AMS Lite. There seem to be different spools from Anycubic, some that work better, others not at all. In addition, there are versions made of plastic and others made of cardboard.
Check which spool you have and print out an adapter for the AMS Lite if necessary.
The thing is, I have 4 rolls, only 2 of which don’t work. I have a plastic roll and slots 3 and 4 work fine. It is just one and 2. I found a similar topic, which said it was a feeder unit issue.

If you swapp the spools (1 to 3, 2 to 4) does the problem move with the spools or does it stay with 1 and 2? If the problem moves then it is most likely the spools.
Edit: Check to make sure all 4 spindles turn freely with no spools on them.
Edit 2: are the ones you are having issues with the cardboard ones?
No, they are plastic. Ptfe tubes might look weird here but they are fine
OK, thanks (edit: the carboard one shown in the photo works fine on those spindles?). I haven’t used AnyCubic (no particular reason) but it looks like those are the newer twist together spools? I got the impression that the spool opening is very close to the same size as the bambu spool, if not slightly smaller (edit: I meant the core, not the opening, I haven’t seen any measurments on the actual opening) (not sure if that is a factor or not, just mentioning it). Do you have ANY other brand of filament that you can try on those positions to see if they behave the same?
I personally do not have an AMS lite but I am trying to help troubleshoot.
If you watch it try to load/switch filament - how far does the filament edge get? To the hub? If into the hub, about how far before it stops?

Let me make sure I understand. As you face the AMS, the spools do not work when on the left, but they do work when on the right? (I am going by your pictures so hopefully I have the sides correct).
If it was me, I would verify that the problem also happens when I use a Bambu Lab filament spool on the problem side (try to print a simple cube or something) and if the problem also happens with the Bambu spool submit a support ticket because it could be an issue with one of several different parts.
If the problem only happens with the AnyCubic spools then I would look to see if there was anything rubbing against the AMS body, that the spools are sitting straight so that they are not at a slight angle, and that they do seem to be gripped by the spool claw fingers firmly.
Edit: I see that you did say you had problems with Bambu filament in your first post, my apologies.

No, It fixed itself when I moved all of it around. No idea why
I reread and you don’t have an AMS so my answer was irrelevant.
Great news! Possibly you need some RAID anti-gremlin spray? (if you are outside the US this may not make sense to you but it is a joke).
