Unauthorized filament switch mid-print

I just submitted a support ticket on this but thought I should share the experience also.

My P2S, which is connected to four AMS-1s, was printing a 20-hour solid single-color PETG model with PLA specified as the support interface. Around the middle of the print, the main body started printing in PLA and continued for about a third of the model height, then switched back to PETG with PLA being used as the support interface again.
I can use the object because it is still functional and not used in a visible location.

The photo of the model on the print bed shows stringing and some melted filament running down the side of the support. I believe this was caused by PLA being routed to the hotend while it was still using PETG settings.
The support came off cleanly.

I have a hard time believing that the part is still functional when printed with that combination. PLA and PETG don’t really bond all that well.

Are you able to attach the .3mf of the print?

Did you accidentally add a change filament line in the slicer?

I sent it to Support with the ticket.

I had one part (not this one) separate between layers when it was solid PETG. This thing is holding together just fine.

I would have to have added two such lines. I don’t directly manipulate the code.

Are you using flush into object ? object mode

I just reopened the file and checked. Flush into this object is not checked. I normally use Flush into support, which was also the case this time.

Is there a logo on the part that you were printing that required a different filament?

Nope, just solid PETG all the way through.
Bambu Support basically agrees that something went wrong and they are trying to figure out what it was and will get back to me when they have an answer.

This is with flush in to support (global) and flush in to object (object mode) set

and avoid interface filament for base disabled , same result with the prime tower disabled ,which greys out all above settings except enable support , i recently used flush into infil which did work well

could this have something to do with a recent stealth update that reset studios default from object mode back to global ?

Are the flush volumes to low and it was mixing the filaments?

The OP seems reluctant to attach the problematic .3mf file as requested.

According to BBL, whoever created the model inserted instructions to flush to object into the STL. The override to the slicer settings caused the issue.

So nothing to do with the two p2s updates we`ve had this build either ?

OK, I misunderstood what Support was telling me. Apparently my flush settings were incorrect and caused support filament to be printed to the wrong area for a while.
