i designed this model and cant figure out why it makes those lines. i edited it in a cad and a slicer and nothing works. i already put it up on makerworld. should i take it down if i cant find a solution? the link is httpsmakerworld.comenmodels2586698-the-smoothest-fidget-roller#profileId-2853632. i put a picture of it here so people can see the issue. the problem is with the orange one on the right. i need to know why its not smooth.
That happened to me too, it’s because the image is blurred on purpose. Just click next to it or on it.
I’m afraid. The forum must be blurring it for a reason. Probably something horrific that will give me nightmares once I see it. You can’t undo seeing. So it might be necessary to gouge my eyes out afterwards. I’d rather not take the chance, too risky. Won’t look. ![]()
I clicked it the image without thinking, then all the bad thoughts went through my head, is it â– â– â– â– , did I just click on an .exe, is it a murder vid?
First, are you aware that the A1 should not be in an enclosure, as per Bambu Lab?
Second problem is you focused on the back wall, not the problematic print.
Have you confirmed that the fan speed is the same on all layers?
Have you tuned your printer for the filament? If you want high quality prints, you need to take off the training wheels and tune the filament. My guess is you’re hiding a horrid seam on the back of the orange one as there aren’t textures where you can hide the layer start/stop points.
Tall smooth cylinders are vulnerable to shaky effects.
100x more vulnerable on a bedslinger which shakes it as part of it’s process.
Turn your acceleration and jerk WAY down IMO. Start at 1000 accel, 4 jerk.
the enclosure remains open and the filament settings are perfectly fine. the problem that i have is that the pattern of lines is uniform making me think its a bambu studio issue.
I had this problem on hollow cylinders imported in STEP, and then on other objects that were a little more elaborate but cylindrical.
It turned out that if you uncheck “arc fitting” in the slicer and nozzle agglomeration detection on the printer, your prints will be a little better. You can see for example in your slicer if you put green flat platter (the one where the defect is best seen) in 0.20 layer height that the slicer has some defects that are passed on to the model.
It is true that when you print a Benchy or a dragon you will not see these lines.
I worked on this issue with the Bambu teams, it should be solved in a forthcoming update with some other issues, including the sewing that is not perfectly straight and the slowness of Bambu Studio.
