Not sure if this has been discussed already — I couldn’t find anything specific when searching. I often design my models using multiple STLs (separate bodies) to manage color changes more easily in Bambu Studio. Typically, I’ll split a part into several stacked STLs that are meant to print directly on top of one another.
Lately, I’ve noticed some odd behavior: when one model (STL) is printed directly on top of another — even if it’s the same shape and color — the slicer seems to treat it as a bridge, and I get bridging behavior in the print (gaps, poor layer adhesion, etc.) on what should be solid contact between layers.
For example, if I model a circular part and assign the first 3 layers to one STL (with color changes), then assign the 4th layer and up to another STL (same color as one of the first), the 4th layer is treated as bridging instead of just continuing the print.
Is this something new in recent versions of Bambu Studio or AMS behavior? Or has it always been like this and I just didn’t notice?
Appreciate any insights or suggestions!
