Hello All. As a new member to the forum, i bid you all well !
I have a problem with a print; which i have tried twice to no avail.
I think there may be a problem with the stl code near the end of printing.
As i am new to the Bamboo A1, is there anyone that can investigate the stl to see if there are any problems with the code, i would appreciate it greatly? Then i will know whether it is the printer or the code.
Hi user_3110569737.
Many thanks for the reply.
When it is printing, nearly to the top, the nozzle seems to collide with the top and unseat it from the build plate.
This is very annoying even expensive when your a pensioner.
This can occur easily if there is some edge curling. You also seem to have some adhesion issues at the top.
Even if it may not be neccessary, give the filament a run in the dryer (or use the heatbed to dry the roll). Moist filament experiences rheology and thermal property changes well before other symptoms like stringing occur. Curling is my usual warning indicator.
Avoid crossing infills like grid. Use rectangular or even honeycomb instead.
Keep the printer in a warm’ish environment. Curling happens due to rapid edge cooling.
Don’t be afraid to slow down (for the upper part at least). Better one good part in a day than two bad ones.
If the print has been unseated, also give the plate a good wash with water and dishwashing liquid.
Do not use grid infill type. Its a very poor default, Especially on the A1. The models already get some shaking force from the bed, you do not want to impart even more force from the grid raking.
Clean your plate. You’ll never “see” the dirty body oil that causes adhesion issues, but you just got an adhesion issue, so you should clean.
Many thanks for the reply Eno The Thracian.
Being new to all of this, i will certainly bear that in mind
Now i have to find out how to change the fill in
Infill is in the Strength settings in Bambu Studio. Usually, it is best to avoid crossing infills like Grid which is unfortunately still a default setting.
