Unkown Print Quality Issues on 3000+ hr p1s

Hello All, I come to the forms today with a rather odd problem, and I’m not quite sure what is causing it. My p1s has about 3000 hrs on it and it kept in fairly good condition (cleaning, maintenance, and such).

I’ve linked some pictures of my 4 different attempts at printing, to show what’s up. Here’s what I have done so far. Calibrate the printer. Clean carbon rods, and z screws. Made sure the nozzle wasn’t clogged. Took the extruder gear out to clean and re-lubricate. This print used AnyCubic’s Basic PLA, I’ve had good results with them in the past, but who knows  .

The two specific problems I’m looking for help for are the holes near the seams, and the ridges over the whole body. My current ideas for what might be wrong are: Hotend themosister not registering right temperature; maybe time for a whole new hotend; extruder gear is worn and needs replaced, not cleaned; or maybe something with the AMS.

I would LOVE to hear any ideas for other issues, and I duly thank you for taking the time to read this!

I also been using anycubic, its made by sunlu and very cheap on amazon. Have yet to see a roll do this, but you want to zero out the possibility you got a bad roll and try a new roll before you go buying parts.

Ive never gotten a print like this even with the inland brand most i got was stringing but anycubic pla+ is a class up from them, but still may be a bad roll.

What is the status of your hot end? Have you replaced it recently? You may have a partial clog. It would not hurt to do a cold pull. Have you dried your filament? What about pressure advance and flow ratio calibration on the filament?

I completely forgot about filament humidity; it probably is time for me to replace my desiccant holders in the ams. Thanks for the tip.

Good insight, I guess I’ll go do the old testing each ams slot…

Are you on the latest firmware? Also it could just be filament inconsistencies from that batch, is it doing it with other spools?
