Huh?!? Come again?
I’m not sure, based on your reaction, that you’ve got the gist of this particular section:
Do let me know if you would like some clarifications on the quote above.
Happy to provide them via a PM.

Perhaps you were being sarcastic and I didn’t pick up on it. Apologies if that’s the case but it appearers that you are calling anyone with concerns around these changes, and an issue with the fact that Bambu want your printer to completely depend on the Internet and their cloud services a “Bunch of complotists and conspirationists”. That couldn’t be further from the truth.
Now you’ve got it right. And it’s definitely sarcastic, no other way.
No worries m8. Good that things got cleared up and no misunderstanding is further perpetuated.
Also, glad we’re on the same page (read “same side of the barricade”).
odd, i was previously able to send a print to the printer while it was printing, now I am getting this. Clicking the link takes me to status.bambulab.com
Yes I’m using OrcaSlicer.
Updated your firmware recently? If not, are you printing via Bambu’s cloud or via LAN? If via LAN, is your connection from your pc to your printer completely severed from internet? Is your pc still connected to the internet when you send your files to print?
I use an own WLAN just for the 3D-printer. My computers have access to it, but the printer has no access to anything. Why should it. Maybe therefore I got the yearly feedback that I just print my own things and no models from others in the community (which is not true).
I have an old printer with octoprint which I also put to the same LAN, even I do not suspect this to be bad. I think if Bambu would act like the Temu App, I guess the days would be counted in Pro-world of 3D printing. But yoiu have to protect yourself. But the closed parted of Bambu Studio should also get more attention. It may have even more access. For me I use it on a VM just to print. Advantage is that I can access it from all my devices and need not setup anything there.
No firmware update since maybe October, printing via the cloud, pc hardwired to router… when the print finished, i still received the error when trying to send it so i selected print and it printed. However it defeats the purpose of send to printer…
Have you checked that link on your screen? Does it work offline or asks you to connect to Bambu’s cloud?
It looks like an unfinished site, it takes me to their status page.
When clicking the link your printer is on LAN mode only? If so, take photos and submit them to Bambu together with the logs. See what they say about this issue. I’m curious too.
Figured it out, looks like my computer switched to the 5Ghz network on the same router the printer is on, the printer of course only works on 2.4 Ghz… It blows my mind that BS and OS can see the printer, update filaments and all settings, see all the files on the SD card, and delete from the SD card but cannot write to it…
Thanks for pointing this out. I’m looking to replace my ELEGOO entry level printer and I will no longer be considering Bambu. Even if they pull back on this I’m out.
Dude, we get it. Over and over you pour out your hate for Bambu and continue to disparage them. Yes, we get it. You are mad, you don’t need to say it 10,000 times. Admin, can someone please put a muzzle on this guy. There’s nothing new that he’s been saying for weeks.
Excuse you? The dude has just as much right to state his views as you do, and I would go as far to say your comment is stepping over the line for the forum guidelines. Especially for bringing up a post from 25 days ago.
I apologize. That was not nice of me. Still, there are just so many whiny voices complaining and complaining. Sure, voice your dissatisfaction once, maybe a couple of times, but to beat that horse over and over, multiple times in many different threads, seems excessive to me. It definitely is tiresome.
Imagine if I complained over and over about this same subject, time and again. Like 50 times. I suspect at some point you would be annoyed as well. Sounds like you’re already annoyed.
Anything new? Are they dropping Bambu Connect BS and simply improving security via more mainstream widely accepted measures? Anything new on the H2D? If they still haven’t dropped Bambu Connect then I guess I’m not interested in buying the H2D but still want to see it.
Did they? Your screenshot cuts off the rest of the release.
Isn’t this what the community was asking for? Full control with no connection or control from the cloud?
Oh and it’s interesting to note there is now a “Bambu Local Server” option (Pulled from the Prusa playbook?).
