Upgrade H2D to H2C?

I actually agree with you. If you had written that in your first comment, that would have been great. It’s all in the wording. Compare your first comment with this one. There’s a world of difference between them in terms of how friendly or unfriendly they are. Just remember that everyone has a different level of knowledge and everyone should be included. :+1:

Edit: Just as a small side note, times are changing. We have everyone here, from housewives and children to retirees. It’s all mixed together - I can’t list everyone. Just be aware that some of the contributors are children who often have no idea what they’re talking about.

My goal is always trying to help as i think you are too and i can see me adding ‘i have no issues so far’ as i am not keeping a open mind but i guess my technical mind puts issues i see in different boxes and react based on that. In fact i worry about my h2c these first few months if things pop up thats why i am reading along and be prepared if something happens but as a result you also see others having issues you go like ‘ehmm think its you’ for example the bed adhesion issues i did talk to the youtuber who started it and he made a mistake and i am still not 100% sure it was the buildplate or him using pla that has more known shrink issues or a combo of both. Most likely even bambu doesn’t know yet if maybe a batch of plates were sub-par and just replace them as needed now. But this is a example i clearly put in a ‘not a h2c issue’ box in my mindset maybe not fair but thats how my mind works. I try to use the 3d printer as just a tool but i accept its a tool that needs maintenance and if there are hidden issues its early in the process. I ordered the h2c ‘blind’ within the first 5min of the announce and accept the risks that gives but i agree many people should be more careful and wait a few months so we know if there are known design issues and/or workarounds. So far the h2c has been near perfect for me and i have been busy designing a new ‘grip’ for the sony A1ii camera (see picture) to extend the body for people with big hands (its a pity there is no forum area for what people are working on here since i feel that would even help finding people who are working on similar things and how to best do them on bambu printers.

As someone who is comfortable around devices, I would caution that we should not dismiss the use and enjoyment of 3D printers by others who have different interests and backgrounds. The above quoted statement is almost the same as the phrases that some gatekeepers have been using: If you don’t know how to do xxx, then don’t own a 3D printer.

Even though I could have configured the printers if I wanted to, I have not configured anything on my X1Cs and have been printing for thousands of hours with great results.

The things that I typically “configured” are the number of walls and infill percentage. There was one time I increased the printing temp by 5 degrees and slowed down the printing speed of the outer wall to get a more shinny surface. If I didn’t know that is one way to achieve the desired result, I could have asked here and someone would have made that suggestion. So that piece of prior knowledge wouldn’t have been a barrier stopping me from getting what I wanted.

If someone who is new to 3D printing has a problem, they can ask here and learn and build up their knowledge from whatever printer they start with. They don’t have to start with a printer that requires manual configurations in order to print that was common years ago.

This response was something that I have waited to, but never seen in a forum… Let me be clear: I mean this is a compliment and a good thing!

Your printers are weak and your flow dynamics lacking.

h2c works flawlessly out of the box, not a ‘review’ model but real personal purchase as soon as it arrived in this country, it has been going for 130 hours, up to 7 colours with included AMS2, my older AMS1, and the external spool. running a 5 colour largish item at the moment, Bought because of versatility, quality of print, vastly reduced waste, ease of use and availability. colour change is slower than other machines due for release, but thats ok for now.

Sometimes I feel like not enough people mention when things are going Amazing. Only when it’s bad. Me I’ve never owned a Bambu Lab or anything nearly this advanced mind you I’ve been printing for years but my previous printer was a Ender 5 plus that I fully upgrade/modified. Still have it it’s still works. But it’s not even in the same kind of realm as the H2C. So full stop honesty in the 821 hours I’ve been printing since 12/25 it broke a clip… that I literally did a home repair on it kept printing and they sent me a part in like 4 days. I’ve thrown PA, PF, PAHT, PLA, TPU, PETG pffff everything I could think of at it. Every scary prints I kinda avoided with the other printers or that had failed multiple times. Short prints, 3 day long prints, back to back prints. Turned it up to warp speed AKA ludicrous on a couple simpler print and it’s just been rock solid. To anyone out there having issues all I can say is I hope you get it dialed in because once it is this thing is a beast that prints consistent accurate prints like every-time with almost zero thought compared to everything else I’ve ever owned or seen. And by far the best print quality over and over and over again. If I had my way I’d have 2 more. When this thing is functioning properly which fortunately mine was right out of the box. I can literally turn my power plug on from my phone load a print through the Bambu app while driving home from another state and monitor it as it goes via video. But usually I just don’t think about it because it’s does a great job everytime. Also if you run out of filament and it stops for a few hours. When you put another spool on and start it again you literally can’t tell where it stopped and started again. So kudos to whoever ever wrote that code because it works flawlessly. Just putting my 2 cents in after 800+ hours on pretty spendy unit but now I know why it’s that much. Because the quality speed and ease of use and optional add ons like 24 colors at once is worth it.

I hit 800+hrs on my H2D already some time ago. Good printer, a workhorse if i might add.

And have 400+ on my H2C.

Learning curves there are, sure, Issues along the way, of course. I think we all been there.

The newbie/beginner warnings on these printers from the internet are valid, and I welcomed them. Took them in and turned them as positive energy. Thank you!

Then there’s just those people out there who feel they need to rage about the simplest printer issues. Can see where it gets tiring.
