I’ve recently upgraded my P1P to P1S used the original Bambulab kit.
I’ve follwed the Wiki instrutions meticulously and stil the printer reports it is a P1P
what dit I do wrong.
So you are running firmware 01.05.00.00 or later, using Bambu Studio 1.8.1 or later, and have done the following?
After the P1P Enclosure Kit has been successfully installed, please do the following settings on the P1P:
Click “Accessories” → “official enclosure kit” → “Upgraded”.
Does it give an error when about “Incorrect printer model” if you try to print? If not, this is probably how it is supposed to be, as this technically still just an upgraded P1P, not a P1S… although probably splitting hairs at this point…
Yeah I did the steps “Accessories” → “official enclosure kit” → “Upgraded”.
The firmware and Bambu Studio are on the latest level.
And yes I’m getting a Incorrect printer model when I try to print.
What is the kit you refer to?
What PCB’s did you change?
The AP board which is behind the touchpad is different on P1P and P1S
That particular board serial number has to be registered with BL.
Go to spare parts and look at circuit boards and you will see one for P1S and another for P1P.
They talk about the difference in the wiki also.
I know the boards are different but I would highly recommend finding out if putting the cover on and changing out the AP board gets you a full P1S
I used the original P1P enclosure kit.
There where no PCB’s in the kit.
Obviously it is not a P1P to P1S conversiion kit, only an enclosure kit with ventilators, a chain for the toolhead cable and PTFE and a modified heathsink for the PCB drivers.
But basically it stays a P1P what ever the top front says.
I think that is clear now.

It is not possible to change the printer definition from P1P to P1S after the enclosure.
After meeting the requirements / following steps I mentioned earlier … I think all that is supposed to happen is that Bambu Studio is supposed to quit whining that you are using the P1S definition for a P1P… but since that isn’t happening, I would probably put a ticket in with support, outlining what you have done and what you are seeing, as it sounds like either a bug in the firmware, or perhaps newer version of Bambu Studio.
I’ve set the printer definition back to P1P and all is OK.

If you’re running with up to date firmware, you might want to check out Bambu Studio 2.2.0 when it comes out of beta / is released… there is mention there of fixing the P1P with upgrade kit “showing up again as a P1P” and thus triggering the “The currently selected machine preset is inconsistent with the connected printer type” error message, etc.
Here’s the issue on GitHub. I guess it will still be a couple of weeks, but it looks like there is some other interesting features coming down the pipeline also…

Bambu Studio is showing a green Check auf the P1S Printer Profile. But when i try to ru a print from the app, i get the “invompatible printer” error message
Are you sure, that you selected the right print profile?
My P1P is on 1.08.01.00 and with “offical enclosure kit” enabled, I can print from Bambu Studio using P1P and P1S printer profile and also from the Bambu Handy-App using a P1S print profile.

Yes, i downloaded the newest Software and Firmware.
I have a P1P with the official Enclosure. i Selected it on the Printer aswell.
01.09.00.00
Bambu Studio 2.3.1.51
When i Slice my Prints with a P1P-Setting, i get the following Message:
“Please check the following:
The printer type selected when generating the G-code is correct
does not match the currently selected printer. It will
recommended to use the same type of printer for slicing.
Please click “Confirm” if you still want to print”
And when i Slice it with P1S selected, send my Print to the SD-Card and start it from the App (i do this a lot) i get the “incorrect Printer”-Error:
“Incomaptible Printer Model”
When i Slice with P1S Setting and print it directly from the Studio, i dont get any Errors.
App-Version is the iOs-App Version 3.9.0
i hope you know whats wrong with my setting
