I now use a a1, I am coming from another printer. However I kept some extra build plates i from the old one. They are basically the size of the a1 build plates.

Sure.
Just set a guestimate of type in the slicer. You know, textured, smooth, etc.
I just tried to use a non bambo plate and got rly close to screwing up the printer.
- I did NOT look at the setting or anything, just started a random print. I dont know how to edit the plate setting.
Anyway, i think its less of hassle to simply buy a new bambo build plates
Just choose the plate from the drop down box.
Use textured PEI if you plate has a texture (Bambu or 3rd party)
Smooth for a smooth plate.
Not sure how you could mess up your printer. Even if you select the wrong surface about the worst that can happen is level is off and/or filament won’t stick.
