Using t-glase filament

So,

Many moons ago, a co-worker gave me these four rolls of filament:

These are small (1lb~= .45kg) rolls with very small center holes.

So, a couple of questions:

  1. Is the stuff even worth trying to use for printing (assume it’s suitably dry)?
  2. If so, what settings would I use? I don’t see any plain PETT listing in the BL material database. There are settings for the nylon.
  3. I’ve got an AMS. I’m assuming these spools wouldn’t behave in there. Would the best bet be to print a spool holder for the external spool and print from there?

Similarly, I’ve got this roll of "NinjaFlex:

While the diameter of this spool is normal, it’s thinner than normal, 52mm vs 62mm.

Again, would this be best printed from outside the AMS?

Thanks for your thoughts.

I finally used up my Taulman T-Glase in 2020. You can use PETG settings though I’d dry it first. The problem with Taulman back in the day was their filament diameter control was awful and I got some significantly oversize sections stuck in the extruder.
Note that nylon really absorbs water and you’ll need to dry that every time just before you use it. I don’t remember which variant of their nylon this happened with, but when I printed with it on my Makergear M2 printer with a glass bed and glue stick it stuck so hard to the glass that it ripped divots off the glass and I had to replace it.

So I’d consider respooling the t-glase and using it for something unimportant after drying, but I’d say the nylon is too much fuss to deal with and there are newer variants which are better.

I still have a spool of NinjaFlex around, it also needs to be dried thoroughly beforre use and printed really slow, start with the TPU settings, barely heated bed (75C maybe) and use glue stick as a release agent - it sticks to PEI way too well.
