I have 4 X1C’s, all with AMS units.
All printers were showing 2% and one was 1% before we updated the firmware to v1.9.0.1.
Now they are all between 23-29%. None of the AMS’s were opened. All we did was update the firmware. Any ideas ??
Most likely, the firmware update corrected how humidity was being reported. The original 1–2% readings were probably inaccurate, as even fresh desiccant wouldn’t keep it that low across multiple AMS units. The new 23–29% range seems much more realistic.
I think that previously an AMS reported just a single digit number representing a humidity level, not actual percent relative humidity. A “1” was indicating 10-20% humidity, “2” indicated 20-30%, etc.
