Hi, I’m trying to make a vase in Vase Mode. It keeps showing this flaw in one spot only. When I change the lower layers of the layer, the flaw moves to a different spot.
Can anyone help? I’ve tried different layer thicknesses and heights, as well as smoothing the spiral, but it doesn’t help.
It always shows up in one spot, but it changes locations when I change the lower layers of the coating or other settings. The spiral smoothing function doesn’t help. I also calibrated the filament, but still the same.
I’m fairly new to this, so this might not be the right answer. But you said: when I change the lower layers or coating or other settings, it changes location. This to me is an indication that it might be a flaw in the vase mode generation.
Can you try another vase and see if the problem also exists, or print the current one upside down and see what happens?
It’s possible, but I don’t know how to fix this error. I also printed this model in a much larger size on the P1S and it still had the same issue. The problem disappears when I use normal mode instead of vase mode.
I placed it upside down, the problem practically disappears, but then I won’t have a base
However, I’d like to print in vase mode instead of normal mode.
Yes, I understand that. However, when I print a single wall with a 0.4 nozzle, it’s too thin. I don’t like the double wall because spots/darker sections are visible in the light.
