I have an X1C and just got into printing ABS. I wanted to see if anyone could suggest different methods of filtration. Below is a pic of my setup. The wall behind the printer lead to an outdoor closet. What would be the best way to have the chamber fan vent out to that closet? The closet leads directly to the outside and out to the backyard.I was reading about a negative pressure system but am unaware of where to begin. I do currently have a Bento Box in place. TIA for any advice.
Unfortunately there really is only one way to properly do this: Vent the fumes to the outside.
Having said that, there was a great post on this topic for someone who is suffering from COPD and has serious medical concerns. Here is that topic and it include the use of a Bento Box which one can print and source components from the internet.
One thing I can help you avoid and it’s these 1.8" x1.8" x4.6" charcoal fans. I have two and they do NOTHING!!! Their principle application was for use inside of resin printers which have tiny chambers by comparison and one can leave sealed for a few hours. The large Bambu enclosures are no match for these undersized devices. They are made in a variety of colors and from different vendors. Save your money.
EDIT** Added links to filter product to be avoided.
All of these are JUNK and do NOT work for ABS fume filtering.
They also have proprietary carbon filter cartridges that are $2-$4 each.
