Can’t find any online guidance or explanation of the new firmware version for X1C, nor the changes made in Bambu Studio.
I recently bought a Bambu Lab X1C with AMS (about a month ago) - which BTW was my first 3D printer.
The printer setup was fairly intuitive, and whenever I later had a question about anything hardware related (the printer) or software related (Bambu studio), I always found an answer here in the forums or on the wiki pages (or on YouTube).
After the latest firmware upgrade of the X1C, and the upgrade of Bambu Studio to 2.0.3.54, I’m struggling.
The X1C update changed the menu systems on the X1C screen to such an extent, that I’m having trouble navigating it. When I was a complete novice, then everything was available through a google search. Now, however, all I find answers to is based on the old interface that no longer applies. (It took me a week just to figure out where the button to turn off the chamber light had moved.)
Anyway, the acute problem I’m having now, is that I cannot print from an external spool. In the old studio software, you could disable the AMS from the print pop-up window. That option is gone - or at least moved to a place where I can’t find it.
The manual feeding of the external spool, is moved to a different menu on the machine, but that was fairly easy to find. If I follow the instructions there, I can manually feed the external filament until it is extruded from the nozzle. If I then choose the 5th filament option in Bambu studio (which I have set up to match the actual filament I have externally) and then start a print job - the machine immediately asks me to retract the filament i just completed feeding to the printer head.
I.e. the printer is convinced I’m trying to use the AMS for the print job, and refuses to use the manually fed external filament.
Like I said, I have chosen the last (5th) filament in the “Prepare”-menu, but Studio still insists on using the AMS (which I no longer know how to temporarily disable from Studio)
