Previous version was buggy when using the camera: it would hang and require a CTRL-ALT-DEL to quit. So I stopped using the camera.
Updated to 2.5.0.66 today. Wildly unstable in Windows 11. Takes forever (30 seconds) to locate my wireless printer every time I try to print. And even after finding it, times out (or freezes) when you PrintPlate/Send for wireless printing.
I’ve tried all the online suggestions. I’ve even completely uninstalled the s/w and reset the printer to factory settings. It’s buggy, and at it’s best really, really slow even just clicking through menu options.
At this point, my printer is basically unusable. This program has been buggy for a long time now, but this is the worst. What are we supposed to do?
Just curious, are you maybe using an older or even unsupported version of Windows 11? I’m running Bambu Studio 2.5.0.66 with no issues on Windows 11 (25H2).
No, it’ s the latest. I suspected a 2.4/5Ghz network compatibility issue, but I’ve tried separating them, etc. No joy. (But really, shouldn’t that have been fixed by now?) Things were fine (except for the camera) until the update. Now it’s all kinds of messed up. Even a clean install didn’t fix it.
I guess I’ll roll back to a previous version, but it’s never a good sign when software versions keep getting worse. Feels a whole lot like AI had a lot to do with the new release. It feels rushed and untested.
Yeah, I get why you’re blaming Studio since it flipped right after the update. At the same time, the 2.4/5 GHz angle usually points to local network behavior (router or mesh multicast, band steering, isolation, Windows firewall or network profile) rather than the slicer itself, which would also explain why many of us on Win11 are not seeing it.
Either way, rolling back is the right immediate fix. For an actual determination of whether 2.5 introduced a regression on your setup, I’d open a ticket with Bambu Support and attach your Bambu Studio logs plus printer logs. They can tell from the logs whether it’s discovery, timeouts, or a crash path specific to 2.5.
I’ve never had an issue using my camera on my A1 either.
Tengo una A1 Mini con AMS Lite y hace dos semanas instalé la última versión de Bambu Studio: Bambu_Studio_win-v02.05.00.66. Imprimí algunas jarras y chops, y todo parecía funcionar correctamente.
El inconveniente comenzó cuando intenté imprimir un modelo que venía realizando con frecuencia y que siempre había salido sin problemas.
Ayer, al intentar imprimir nuevamente ese perfil con la versión 2.5.0.66 ya instalada, noté que las piezas empezaron a salir defectuosas. Realicé tres intentos y todos fallaron: la impresión se despegaba de la cama y el flujo no era el adecuado. En definitiva, fue imposible volver a imprimir la Estrella Fidget correctamente.
Hoy regresé a una versión anterior, Bambu_Studio_win-v02.03.01.51, y hasta el momento no he tenido inconvenientes.
En mi caso, simplemente reinstalé el paquete de la versión anterior sobre la actual, sin desinstalar previamente nada.

I was ready to post my solution, when it froze again. Timed out on sending file for print. I can still send to SD Card and print from there. Cool, we’re going back in time. Maybe a DOS release is in our future.
A full factory reset of the printer, and a (clean) re-install of the older version 2.4 got me back to a semi-stable work-around. But the problem, which I still believe relates to Bambu’s inability to handle a router that broadcasts both 2.4G and 5G, is still there. I spent days troubleshooting this POS s/w.
I love my Bambu A1 mini. But if I can’t use the s/w designed for it, it’s no better than my old Ender_3. Which was a whole lot cheaper. I feel robbed.
