Very large layer shift two times in a row?

Got this issue today on my X1C that I had for a couple of weeks. Now tested PAHT-CF for the first time but when I went to print my second design it failed in a big way two times in a row. Between the two prints I reset the belt tension and re-calibrated and did the self test also changed infill pattern and re sliced as well as saved a new STEP file from my CAD software.
Printed on engineering plate with glue stick, first layer was not loose and not warped when removed.
First fail:

Second Fail:

Earlier test print in PLA:

Any ideas what this issue could be, is there a way to look at the complete G-code?

My other part that printed fine with all the same settings and setup:

The gcode can be found in preview tab after slicing and has you got excess moisture in the filament ?

Printing from a dryer. Just seem to lose position first one small step and then one large so it basically crashes in the corner. Luckily, I heard it and could stop the print, it didn’t detect any fault by itself.

first off, where’s that model??

Could it be chamber temperature ? (1st pic ) although with the second pic it looks like a completley misaligned layer from the original file , ( i found with my A1 mini ambient temps can cause a print to fail (hot weekend and direct sunlight)

It’s my own design, plan to upload it when I installed and tested it.

Chamber temp was below 50C, print settings aim for 60C. But we have the same thoughts, it’s such a big misalignment that it feels like: Loose cable, Bug in latest FW, belt slip (not likely), something over-heating… So, hoping someone else has had the same issue an found what could be wrong

Have you looked at the gcode by layer height to see if that can give you a clue ? as to where the xyz are going in relation to the layer and subsequent layers

Just installed a g-code simulator and it looked fine

Bambu studio

I doubt it is a g-code issue.
I assume that “Auto-recover from step loss” is active.
One thing that can cause rather odd printing behaviors on Bambu printers is read errors from the SD card so try replacing the SD card if you can.

as i wrote on other post layer shift on XC1, same issue here, seems to happens after a specific time after print start, investigating atm, i’m lucky too because I heard the scaring sound.
I cant attach images or links, dunno why…

Auto recover was off and does it use the SD when sending the job with wifi? Think it’s only for the timelaps recording.

yes auto recover was off, i’m printing directly from my bambustudio from my macbook but it happen also if i send the models to the SD on the printer and i start the print from the front touchscreen. Now trying same print with pla.

Yes, didn’t sound nice on mine either. Find it strange that it doesn’t have more shut off safety for crashing since it has a load sensor etc.

Did you upgrade to the latest firmware before it started happening?

What’s the heating element? Are you regulating the temperature? Safety shut off? Circuit protection?

yes this problems start after the firmware upgrade some weeks ago, i print the same models with the same material without problems before the upgrade, there is any chance to downgrade to do a test?

300w heating element with fan and also controller, both of amazon. Plan to only go to 60deg but still probably will add the fan mod for the electronics. Also probably needed to have the aux fan on to not get local hot spots since the hot air out of the element is around 150C

What FW are you on? I think I read somewhere that it’s possible to revert to an older version

It will still save the job onto the SD card (hence the download message when you send a job) and then reads the G-code consecutively from the Card while printing and SD card read errors are known cause “oddities”
