I have been looking at the Vortek system and note that it comes by default with 4 0.4 nozzles, a 0.2 and a 0.6 (for the H2D upgrade at least).
It seems this cannot be changed at time of ordering - meaning if I’m printing a model with several colours, I need to purchase 2 additional 0.4 nozzles to replace my .2 and .6 so that I have 6 nozzles of 0.4?
Not sure how much I’d use a 0.6, although a 0.2 could be handy for finer text details on a top/bottom layer etc…
I guess considering they are magnetised its easy enough to swap them over as and when needed?
Also, I currently have a H2D with 2x AMS units on the right nozzle, and a single AMS 2 Pro and AMS HT on the left.
Would the ideal setup after a Vortek upgrade be to place all 3 AMS 2 Pro units on the right, which means the 6 Vortek nozzles have access to 12 spools, and place just the HT on the left nozzle to use for support etc?

Yes, you simply press the display to select which carriage should be at the top (A or B), then remove the current hot end and attach the new one. It takes about 5 seconds.
I have two AMS HT and two AMS 2 Pro. I currently have it set up so that the right side has access to 6 spools from one AMS2 and two AMS HT, and the left nozzle gets the other AMS2.
6 nozzles – 6 colors. If there is even one more, it has to be completely purge the filament anyway. It doesn’t matter whether it’s the right or left nozzle. But at least this way I also have 4 basic colors available on the left side for simple dual-nozzle jobs.
With the Ultimate-Package I now have
Left: 1x0.2, 2x0.4, 1x0.6
Right: 1x0.2, 7x 0.4, 1x 0.6
By default, I have installed 1x0.2, 4x0.4, 1x0.6 on the right side. This ensures that I always have a 0.6 and a 0.2 nozzle available. If I have more than 5 colors, I just need to replace the two right-hand hot ends with 2x0.4.

Regarding your last point. That’s how I was going to do it before realising I might be better having 1 x ams going to the left and having that as my support nozzle (so HIPS for abs and PETG for pla). Then on the right hand side have abs and pla and other materials. Obviously it depends on your set up and what you print but I figured for me it might be better that way.
Unless I get another ams ht for left hand side maybe.
How about when it comes to standard and high flow nozzles. Are the Vortek nozzles supplied as default the standard nozzles, ie, not HF?
If so, can I keep the HF nozzle I currently have in my left nozzle and use it for support, while using the standard Vortek nozzles in the right?
Or do they all need to match on both sides?
I think until supply is good and they make different bundles they expect people to get the 5 nozzle 129 euro solution since that comes with 3 0.4 nozzles and the 2 missing left nozzles 0.2 and 0.6 if you want to do multi material with 0.2 or 0.6. The price of 35 euro’s for a 0.4 x 3 = 105 euro’s is close enough for the 5 pack where you pay 20 euro’s more for 2 left nozzles.
You can have mismatched HF vs standard nozzles, just not mismatched nozzle sizes. So yes, you can have have your HF installed on the left and a standard on the right.

You can have a mix of HF and standard between left and right and a mix of nozzles types on the Vortek. For Vortek make sure to pick “Hybrid” in bambu studio when slicing. It will default to using the available standard nozzles first, and HF nozzles last though.
