I don’t care about the filament. What I’m looking for opinions about the site, since I’ve now had 2 negative experiences in 2 orders I’m curious if it’s just me or is it them.
Seems they’re shipping in action is contradictory to reality. I’ve had 2 orders that were placed before their 2pm cut off for same day, both got labels but neither actually shipped. Am I wrong in thinking shipped means out the door? The latest order has shipping label same day (10/30) and as of today UPS hasn’t received the item yet the order page says delivery tomorrow.
This isn’t about hurrying. I small order from somewhere before I start spending real money there. Voxel hasn’t inspired confidence.
I want to try the filament for myself and see if it’s how every influencer says or if it’s just another filament. I just can’t bring myself to spend real money if this is how they ship.
My bigger problem is that their filament is very decent for the price, especially PETG, but their spools is an utter trash.
I’d rather pay the same 16.99 for the refill spool, rather than that spool that is half time crooked and other half time jumps in AMS. And also they are not reusable…

I’ve never really had an issue, there was a time I ordered a pre-order color that held up my other rolls.
I only want to try it, but what you’ve said is giving me second thoughts. I use mainly bambu and sunlu. Bambu isn’t too long a wait and I know what I’m getting. Sunlu from Amazon is usually 1 to 2 days. Voxel just dosn’t seem worth the effort.
It depends on your priorities and tasks. No idea where you are located, but my experience is that in the US:
Bambu is fast and reliable ONLY if they ship it using normal carriers (usually UPS and rarely FedEx), but lately they’ve been using some shittyass garbage “last mile assholes” like LaserShit, GoFoExpress (namely Go F yourself), and YunExpress.
Those last mile carriers are bunch of junkies who can forget to deliver, who can never deliver, who can deliver to whatever and claim it deliver… pretty much anything stupid you can imagine - they will do that. And sad part is that lately BL seems like started to rely more often on those.
My before the last package with PA6-GF … they just never delivered, and I had to wait BL support to do “investigation” that resulted in 3 week delay.
The last package with AMS HT - YunExpress was delivering and … carrier just lied that he wasn’t able to open the door, while with camera installed… he never even showed up, so again BL support (because those carriers don’t even have typical support like FedEx and UPS). That was last Wednesday.
… Until Sunday night (9pm, when I’ve heard some idiot ramming into the door - it was that carrier who decided to deliver…Sunday… night…
Amazon is way more reliable, that’s for sure, but the problem is Sunlu’s supply in there. You never know how much it costs and you never know if it’s available or not.
I.e. Sunlu PLA for sub $15 is a great deal, otherwise it’s a shitty material (sorry for any Sunlu fans - the material is meh, but for a right price it can be very good)
So… I would have agreed in general, if only not those strange shipping issues.
At least, VoxelPLA always ships with USPS and I know that they always have that $16.99 and it always will be delivered not fast.
But at least it predictable enough, so I can plan accordingly.
As you know, for any business work - consistency is a key.
Consistently slow is still consistency.
My feeling with Voxel is that if they are slow, and have been for awhile, then they care about the sell not the customer.
Many business do. If they state one thing and do another then I’d rather shop elsewhere.
Not talking about social issues, environmental issues. I’m taking about straight up customer facing issues. Slow shipping, difficult support, these things matter to me.
For example. I ordered a build plate from Wham Bam and when it arrived it was less than it should have been. The owner contacted me and we spent a week going back and forth with tests to try and see if it was the product or me. Was a little of both. In the end he sent me a different plate and we parted on very good terms.
Not the same as shipping on time but it showed a great respect for customers after the sale. Voxel does not, from my experience and from what I’ve heard.
I live in VA and Bambu shipments are either UPS or FedEx. They ship using Yun Express if in China. The AMS 2 I ordered last week arrived on Monday. Started with Yun and ended with FedEx. I trust I’ll get my order. It’s when they use USPS I cross my fingers and hope it get’s here.
Amazon is reliable and I do purchase Sunlu only when sub $15 and usually in bulk. Never a problem.
From my experience Voxel support is great, but I haven’t talked with them in 2 years or so. Who knows what may have changed.
For Bambu and carriers… I’m in MA, so we probably get the stuff from the same dsitribution center in Newark, NJ. So last two packages with Yun Express were picked up from that same Newark. It is odd, and I honestly have no idea why. Bambu told me that they use whatever available.
I’ve been using VoxelPLA for the past few years. No matter what they say, they are not fast at shipping. They are fast at making USPS shipping labels. I’m in Southern California. It usually takes about a week to get my order, which is usually at least a dozen rolls. I like their filament a lot. I just finally got rid of my backlog of assorted PETG, so I put a few rolls of their PETG in my last order. Great stuff. I now have a favorite PETG. It printed every bit a good as PLA. No stringing at all and great surface texture. I’ve got a X1C with about 4,500+ hours on it.
When Bambu had their big sale about 6 months ago, I bought a bunch of Bambu filament (20+ rolls). Terrible idea. Unless you break the edges of the rolls, the filament falls off the edges of the refill causing terrible jams. I built a vspooler to get around the problem.
Well support has gotten back to me. Offered to wait it out or they’d send a replacement. That’s a good sign.
I’m going to wait until tomorrow and see if we have movement. I imagine it will…
Nice, I also sent an email and they came back quickly and told me the reason for the slowdown, so it’s all good there.

UPDATE.
Now I contacted VoxelPLA and actually received a reply quickly. I was told that it has been shipped and should be delivered today (5th). Tracking still just shows a label made. I don’t believe it’s going to make it.
I sent an email stating as much this morning and received another reply to wait through Monday at the latest. Sounds a bit like stalling to me, but I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt and even apologize if it does arrive today.
I have enough to decide no to their filament and other future orders.

I am not upset that it’s not being delivered on the date VOXELPLA said it would.
I am upset because USPS shows that only a label has been made and it hasn’t moved in 5 days. So according to the current tracking the item still has not shipped.
VoxelPLA states on it’s website that orders before 2PM Pacific time will ship same day. It has another contradicting statement of 5PM, which is fine too.
The order I placed before 2PM their time tracking states has only had a label made and has not shipped in 7 days (not counting Sunday).
They stated yesterday it should be here today (5th). When it still shows absolutely no movement, and doesn’t even show accepted by USPS, they are now asking I give it until Friday or Monday.
I don’t trust a company if they can’t adhere to their own policies. To be fair to them they have offered to reship if I don’t feel comfortable waiting. While I am irritated I’m going to wait it out just to see when it either shows movement or arrives here. I will not order from them again.
I’ve only purchased a bento box from them 2 years ago. I ordered it and then I waited 8 days with no updates. I reached out to support and they responded pretty quickly and sent it out the next day. I also wanted to try out their filament around that time and they never managed to have the filament I wanted in stock. Glad support provided quick resolution, but given everything else, I haven’t really wanted to do business with them.
I’m coming up on a week of “label created”. Same boat as you where I’m not antsy about getting my order amazon-quick - or frustrated about not getting it on a specific date - it just seriously rubs me the wrong way that “ships same-day” is literally plastered all over their site, and after coming up on a week of… hasn’t shipped yet… and a quick google search returns a lot of similar frustrations. Funny enough they seem to reply to every single post in r/3DPrinting that praises their filament, but I couldn’t find a single post that was critical that they replied to. Granted, I didn’t dig super deep.
I’m 99% sure what they’re doing is illegal lmao. They are advertising on their site that orders “ship same-day” and their shipping policy is very clear in what they are claiming, but orders seem to be consistently NOT shipping same day. And from what I’ve read this company has a very particularly hard time fulfilling orders in ANY sort of timely manner. Granted also that people who are receiving timely orders/not having issues are far less likely to make posts about it than people who are.
My understanding of this is that blatantly illegal to claim, yet alone loudly advertise all over your site under FTC laws/consumer protection laws. And that’s what I just don’t understand. If you can’t ship same-day - I think that’s fine to the vast majority of people - especially if you’re a smaller operation. What isn’t going to be fine to the vast majority of people is being lied to on a consistent basis. It’s just such a weird thing to claim if you can’t consistently follow-through. If I placed an order from a company and it took 3 weeks to show up I’d never even think twice about it. If I place an order that claims it’ll be here in 3 days and it takes 3 weeks, that’s very, very different lol.
