Warped Bed Repair - Thinking Crazy

As I read it the plan is not to sand the build plate (flexable), but to flatten the actual bed that is below the magnetic sheet.

Anybody try lapping the bed with a piece of glass and sand paper? Youre not going to sand through the plate unless it was off by the thickness if the plate. Most likely its going to be something like .1mm. Wet sand it if you actually sanding will heat it up enough to warp it.

He @korzenec and the others.
Nice to see how the bed is assembled and i’m thinking isn’t it possible to put something under alu-plate that pushes it upwards so get a flat or more flatter surface. Maybe in place of the arrow-looking part of the plastik-part?
in my case the plate has a deviation of ~0.25 not horrible but could get a little bit better in my opinion. Although i’m printing 90% without problems so far.

What do you think? Worth a try?

You would need a rigid surface to adjust the plate flatness where the build plate is warped. For example, many folks report a concave warp so upper pressure would be needed along the X/Y centerline of the build plate. If your warped is convex you would need to pull that centerline down. Other types of warps would require a combination of push and pull. Plus you don’t want to mess up readings from the 3 plate pressure sensors.
So short answer is I don’t think it will be practical.
