Cloudflare has positioned themselves as a lynchpin of commercial internet, almost every major site’s traffic gets sniffed out and intercepted by them. It’s often just a corporate checklist item from the company’s payment vendor’s security dept. Aside from fraud-y things, cloudflare can do things like help identify and prevent DDOS attacks at global scale which is neat.
I still dont like them though, way too large, if they go offline i shudder to think about what happens to literally every site on the top 500 list lol
