Edit. Learned there is now STEM and STEAM. Thanks
Are you suggesting introducing children to boiling water isn’t the aim of the site?
The A in steam is for art. Some schools call it steam. It is correct
The “A” in STEAM means “arts,” because it has been noted that the emphasis on science and related can de-emphasize the arts. And by “de-emphasize” I mean “de-fund.” Updating the acronym is intended to draw attention to this.
(The STEM focus can also de-emphasize history, language and social studies, and as an engineer I believe that those subjects are just as important as math. As a musician I think that arts education is important, too!)
The conclusion, following the debate above, is that either STEAM or STEM will definitely do the job and boil the kids in both an educative as well as in an artistic way. (good for them)
I’m too old to know about STEM let alone STEAM.
Our history lessons were discussions about what happened yesterday.
Good jokes are good jokes, don’t ruin them with facts!
My boys tell me Steam is a gaming platform
That it is…but this one provides a different type of boiling: the boiling of your credit card…
