Anyone else finding that scrolling through the available models on makerworld.com makes their iPhone hot to the touch?
iPhone 12 Pro user here; not particularly no. I’ve browsed via WiFi and 5G and on both iOS 17.x and iOS 18 developer beta 1+2.
14 big *** pro and no, never noticed it.
Mines a 14 Pro too, must be just me then
will reboot and see if that helps. Thanks for the response ![]()
Yes, I have an iPhone 14Pro, the smaller size not the big one? I cannot run Bambu Studio on it to monitor the progress of a build as it gets VERY hot and I’m afraid of it igniting.
strange it’s only the 14 pro’s then.
thanks for the update
My PC fans are set to spin up at the first sign of a load and each time I scroll models on it, the fans spin up then drop down when I stop scrolling.
The actual load does seem odd but it’s probably more a function of the web browser being used. But a lot of websites including this one limit image sizes. Maybe this is part of the reason?
Yeah, not sure, but would be good for it to be sorted as I don’t think it will help the lifespan of a phone if it’s getting too very often.
Mzip has a good point.
Along with iPhone model it would probably be helpful to know what browser you’re using on it, or if it is Handy.
Using Safari on the iPhone.
Yes mine gets very hot I have no idea why there is no video streaming just me scrolling through the designs…its 2025 and they still didn’t fix the issue
Seems this is why makerworld has a pop up asking to “open in Bambu Handy”. From my experience browsing makerworld content from within Bambu Handy doesn’t make my iPhone 16 Pro hot like makerworld website still does.
