Weird Sunlu ABS Issue

Hey Guys,
I was testing out the new p2s.

Since i have this machine i was printing , PLA and ASA with no issue, with the generic profiles.

But ABS Black from Sunlu makes an weeeird issue.

I got good results with generic Profile at an temp of 230 degrees, on my diffrent machines like enderwire or Trident, i print it on 270 degrees.

When i print it like the generic profile says at 270 , it looks like really really to hot, also it mades some weeird ssems or tiny extrusion fails.

It looks like to me it was labeled wrong , so it is not abs, because it prints fine at pla specs. could it be an wrong labeled Spool?

Anybody Printing Sunlu ABS?

Because the other machines need no cooling at all, on the p2s it needs 30% of fan .

I hope of some help.

Does the filament dissolve when in placed in acetone?

Take a picture of the label on your roll

Iam testing now an diffrent sunlu ABS Spool to see if its only affect my black spool

The Spool are labeled as Black Sunlu ABS

Like i was thinking , ive put now Sunlu ABS Orange in the Machine , and it is printing fine with generic Profile, So my Black Spool , Could be an wrong Label, I dont have Acetone to test it for the black spool

Update loaded an fresh new spool Sunlu ABS Black , so this spool looks also with the generic Profil of Bambu, it seems to be i had an BAD spool

There is filament blend that advertised as ABS+. This filament feels very much like ABS not as brittle like PLA. I had one roll like that over a year ago, constant clog due to heat creep regardless of printer (x1c + anycubic i3). But then I had a thought it could be PLA in disguise and used the heated bed to check if it went softenning around 60-70°C. Sure it did. So I used BBL PLA Basic profile for that roll and it went well after that.

Since that day, I never buy anything with “+” or “pro” in the name, like: PLA+, PLA pro, or ABS+ ever again.

It was not Any plus version , it was normal sunlu ABS i everytime buying. So the p2s dont like really much the black color of this brand, other color of sunlu abs , like green, purple, orange , and red prints with no issue. But the Black color makes also Optical issues at the outer wall. And Yes, ive tested with an new spool Black also , and Yes i was drying it before.

It’s Sunlu. It’s kinda expected from them to receive screw ups from time to time. I had several years ago PLA that was printing like ■■■■, then another spool from the same package printed fine. Then another time I had a spool that measuring 1.6 - 1.8 mm diameter. Also… the color difference within the same color can vary…
What I’m saying … you get what you pay for. We all expect good quality, but it’s no use in complaining here that their material print like ■■■■. It’s not Prusament afterall.

Email their support, maybe they will send you a replacement spool.

I have been experiencing the same issue with constant failing and warping on my P1S. Trying to print using the generic profile now.
