I made this profile for a fillament swatch a while back, and just wanted to use it on a new roll of PLA in a color I didnt have before, but for some reason when I actually attempt to change the text to match the name- the moment I open the text tool it disables the Bold modifier.
Maybe its because of different studio version.
The weird thing is, when I enable it again, it looks completely different, making the text essentially unreadable…. anyone know how to fix this?

Your link takes me to the MakerWorld site for the item. I was able to open the file and the ‘bold’ option was available to use in the text tool. The area you are trying to edit is blank when I opened the file in Studio. I either do not understand you issue or am not seeing the issue. It may be better to upload your .3MF file for people to open.
Bambu has made changes to the text tool in recent updates. I think some actually affected the fonts.
Ah I see, I thought if I sent the link with the profile selected it would actually select the appropriate profile when opening as well.
Here is the same .3mf, didnt know that they also changed the font either, might be the problem so I may need to update the profile to use a different font to be able to properly print them again.

Now I see the issue you are having. I don’t know how to “fix” it other than selecting a new font. I think this is caused by one of the ‘updates’.

Yeah I updated the profile from Aerial to Calibri since it provided consistent results with .4 nozzles.
Shame that things such as how fonts work under the hood change without them actually telling us, I imagine there are a lot of profiles out there that use text that will not work anymore the moment you make a slight adjustment or just change the text itself.

Agreed. I found out about it when someone complained about one of my models that has text on it. I had not printed it for months and suddenly it was ‘broken’. Bambu needs to step up their quality control on software/firmware releases. They are certainly not up to industry standards.
