Weird user on MakerWorld?

Recently I was followed by a dude of level 29. I entered his profile, thinking he was some pro. Then I got this: Except for a few makes, no model uploaded. He did publish 5 print profiles for other people’s models though, each with some downloads and prints. Here comes the weird part:

I believe following 4k people is extremely hard to do by hand, and he seems suspicious for me.

I might be wrong, and please tell me if so. But he really seems weird enough for me to create this topic.

Maybe just some bored kid. I wouldn’t be surprised.
I think this is only a red flag if the profile is like brand new

That does seem odd. I’m level 29, but it took a lot to get there.

How does one do that without uploading anything? Just downloading tons and tons of stuff? I’m not sure how levels are calculated, but it seems like it’s a combination of various things.

The reason they have followers with no models is because some users reciprocate, so if you follow that many, you can expect a percentage to follow back.

I’ve seen this before, but I don’t know what the end goal is. The only thing I can think of, and it’s bonkers, is that they’re trying to reach the follower count threshold for the commercial program so they can sell the account to someone who will upload models to sell.

He did post a few print profiles for models, either for the models that did not have print profiles or new ones for other models. BUT that was only five. Kinda weird.

His posted print profiles did get 100-200 downloads in total, but that doesn’t make him a level 29 user.
