While trying to get a piece of broken filament out of the filament buffer I managed to push out part of the gripper from one of the couplers that I suspect it’s on the filament buffer side. Of course it’s out of stock but the upside is that the PTFE tube still locks in place for the moment so I’m not dead in the water yet. Has anyone successfully replaced just the coupler? If so is there part number or description for it so I can order elsewhere? Looking for a down and dirty fix for if this totally fails to keep running at least until the parts are restocked by BL. I’m out of warranty so a ticket won’t help.
I successfully removed the coupler from my spool holder, did a reverse image search for it and found replacements on Amazon, Link, I’m assuming/hoping I’ll be able to pop the coupler out of the buffer as easily as I did from the spool holder or that the buffer actually comes back in stock before mine completely fails.
Nice, am I missing something as I can’t figure out where to get the expanding collet as that seems like it would help a lot to be able to get a firm grip on the connector.
Okay follow up for anyone that may have this issue… I found a procedure in the Bambu Wiki to replace the compression fittings, link below, and (5) fittings on Amazon for ~$7 USD, link below as well, I figured I’d give it a go and it was pretty painless though a bit unnerving popping out the old compression fitting. The most difficult part was getting AP board cover back in place, I think I may have snapped a couple of tabs but it’s snug so I’ll live. All in all took less than a half hour from start to finish.
