What about this crazy suggestion for Bambu

So I was thinking… With the new vortec system, how cool would it be if bambu developed a ‘nozzle’ that was more of a ball shape with NO filament going through it… It would be used to iron all 3d surfaces. Think it would work?

LOL i dunno about the ball part, but all the parts are there for it to technically be able to pick up a thing that could heat and iron. Could even have multiple waiting in the rack to be picked up, of sizes and shapes. And for that matter, a blade… or a pen…

The terminology is a little wonky though, ironing maintains dimensional accuracy, something without flow will maybe make the final part a little less Z accurate.

that’s a great point… forgot about flow when ironing lol.

Still, you have a great idea with different sizes and shapes. The vortek system is super cool and I feel like we have only tapped the surface.

or mayby a nozzle with a flat surface at the end so it can iron with more surface area

  • Cube: A cube rests on one of its square faces. The area touching the floor is the entire area of that face, which is
is the side length of the cube
  • Sphere: In an ideal, theoretical scenario with a perfectly round sphere and a perfectly flat surface, the sphere touches the floor at a single, infinitesimal point. A single point has an area of zero. In reality, due to the miniscule elastic deformation of materials, the contact is a very small circle, but it is still vastly smaller than the entire face of a comparable cube.

its better a cube

alread in the works…
