I have an A1 mini and want to get an AMS I was thinking I was going to get an AMS lite but now the other AMS are compatible with the A1 mini. I also found ones to build yourself like the AMS lite 4.0 AMS Lite 4.0 - Free 3D Print Model - MakerWorld or the BMCU
I am also sure there are other options out there
So my question is what AMS should I get (My budget is about $300 CAD so I can’t really get the AMS 2 Pro)
How far do you eventually want to expand your setup? The Lite works fine for what it is, as long as you don’t mind the space it takes up and the welter of tubes, but you will only ever be able to use one limiting you to 4 colors/materials on line at any one time. The regular AMS is a workhorse and while it lacks refinements and features like drying it will serve you well and you can have up to 4 for 16 available colors. The Pro 2 is top-of-the-line. I’d save for a bit longer and watch for a Bambu sale and go for the Pro 2.
The AMS Lite 4.0 is a different animal all-together. I wouldn’t suggest one of those for someone just starting out. The other options are all plug-and-play.
