What if a Dispenser Toolhead was coming for the H2D?

It’s not about asking for my permission, or whatever silly notion you’re trying to deconstruct things down to. I was commenting more on the trend of these no name users rolling in and posting up these long winded AI driven post.

I guess you’re trying to be funny or something, but it just comes across as demeaning.

Yes, AI has it’s uses, but there’s a point where we just get flooded with lazy AI slop. You cap this little section off as a way to defend yourself, in the way AI users do, trying to play it down like I’m just some purist that can’t look past his own nose. “maker-authentic” as you put it.

We aren’t even talking about AI in the space of maker projects though, but the over use of AI to write lazy articles. The style and tone of AI is such too, that it becomes obvious when users lean on it so heavily. It comes across unguinous, because of just how… AI it is. It makes me question the motives of the person putting this stuff up.

Just that little mockup image shows the laziness and lack of attention to detail when it comes to this stuff. The errors present in there. Frankly, any artist worth their weight would have noticed those errors and fixed them. They might have still used AI to generate the image, but they would have known well enough to see the issues, and know how to fix them without having to rely on trying to get the AI to generate a better image. When you lack real creativity and talent, you don’t see those problems, and when they’re pointed out, all you can do is try and wrestle with the AI tools to do what you want. As evident by the updated image, while it got it closer, it was still… off.

Have you ever considered that I am serious when I talk about pancake printers?

Luckily there’s one that exist. https://pancakebot.com/ It’s been something of a dream of mine, to get one.

Be careful you don’t fall from your perch with all that looking down on us

On the flip side, people wouldn’t have fell into the topics of AI if you had just came in, spewed your thoughts, and tossed up the AI generated image, being upfront and just saying you created it in ChatGPT to help illustrate your idea.

It’s that, overly AI presentation, that got folks, like myself, going… what? I could barely even care about the errors in that generated image, if it weren’t for the weird AI-ness of the overall article, the shallow (I understand you’re on a mountain, but you still come across as shallow as a puddle) way in which you present yourself, and comments like “maker-authentic” to try and disqualify any statements that might go against the lazy use of AI.

Maybe you used AI because you wanted to sound more professional? put together? But it just comes across as lazy, and I completely forgot the point once I start realizing the extent to which AI was used to write it.

Agreed, AI has it’s uses, generative AI has it’s uses. Hell I’m committing the next massive chunk of my life to get a Masters degree in AI. But when you show up to a community you don’t know and just dump a huge block of AI text on them, don’t expect people to simply accept it, let alone be happy about it. We have users that make long informative posts and people don’t complain, they even applaud them at times! But the key is that they actually wrote the post themselves, with their knowledge, their skills, and their own thoughts. Offloading all of that to an AI is lazy and shows that you don’t actually value the discourse that comes from having a real conversation with real people with real thoughts

The idea for a dispenser will be great. I purchase a Voltera machine only for this purpose, and is not cheap. Mini drill head for PCB can also be used on the H2D hardware. Drilling will not put to much force on the H2D mechanism using drill bits up to 1mm.

Sorry to repeat myself, but

Genuinely cannot tell if you’re looking for clout by “predicting” toolheads, you’re trying to kindly scam us, or you’re being satirical.

I like the idea!! Seriously!

A lot of whats has been suggested appears on paper to be interesting ideas , but i think they would need a toolhead to be its own little system capable of pumping, perhaps some things are best left to etching, routing, capable machines especially as there is no real need to consider the mess left afterwards from mistakes the user or machine may make
No cnc for the same (mess) reason.
